Bring your baby!
Jo appreciates that as a mother there is little 'me' time to be had, so has devised the classes such that you can care for your little one whilst taking some time for you too. Playmats and sensory toys will be provided for the babies' entertainment but bring your own blanket or car seat for your baby if you prefer.
There is a nappy changing unit for you to use and a place to feed your baby too. Tend to your baby during the class as and when you need to.
Enjoy a hot drink and some yummy homemade cakes in The Studio cafe before or after your class with the other mums and babies.
These classes are suitable for ladies 6 weeks after a straightforward vaginal delivery or 8 weeks after a Caesarian or instrumental delivery, to allow for tissue healing and until such time that your baby is mobile.
All ladies will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to participation in the classes, so Jo can understand the nature of any specific problems you may have.
Children's Dance Classes
Beacon Arts is a long established, friendly dance school based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, with branch schools in Ivinghoe, Pitstone and Stewkley, providing quality, dedicated teaching to children, students and adults.
We offer classes in ISTD ballet, modern and tap. The school hopes to offer the world of dance to all children, with opportunities available to those who show particular promise to continue further. The children can be entered for examinations, on reaching the required standard, throughout their time with the school, or simply dance for enjoyment.
Pre-School Dance Classes
Amy's Dance Academy offers the following Pre-School classes from 9 months upwards. They are a wonderful introduction to the exciting world of dance.
Our Teeny Tiny Ballet class is for ages 9 to 18 months where the parent/ carer and baby can enjoy the class together.
Our Baby Ballet class for ages 18 months to 4 years introduces basic ballet moves through play, mime and music creating a fun and imaginative class. The Little Steps class for ages 3 to 4 years acts as a foundation to the ISTD Pre-Primary syllabus. Parents no longer stay in the class enabling the child to become more indepedent.
We also have Bop Dance and Tots Tap classes which use imagery and story telling as well as different styles of music to create a fun and energetic class. This class is particulary popular with boys wanting to try dance for the first time.

There are many forms of Yoga, and Yoga can mean something different to everyone, but most importantly Yoga is for everyone. Traditionally Yoga was used as a way of life, to open the mind, and to detoxify. Today it is more a physical practice, most people practicing a program of physical postures designed to purify the body and provide the physical strength.
During our practice we will explore an Ashtanga Vinyasa flow, as well as Pranayama (the breath), Asana (the posture) and Meditation.
